World AIDS Day Baltimore City 2018

World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and remember people who have died.

The Baltimore City Health Department and its partners will hold official ceremonies commemorating the day on Friday, November 30, 2018, at the Baltimore War Memorial.The program includes:

  • Breakfast
  • Musical performance by Baltimore’s own Davon Fleming
  • Storytelling
  • The official launch of the Undetectable=Untransmittable (U=U) campaign
  • Invited speakers include officials from Baltimore City, Maryland State Department of Health, and the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD)

U=U is the scientifically proven fact that a person who is living with HIV, takes their HIV medications as prescribed, and is virally suppressed, cannot transmit HIV to their sexual partners.
